Hands on Workshop on NodeJS
Opportunity doesn’t come knocking doors but when it does you have to grab it and make most of it.
The students of KIET are now privileged with the development of Developer Students Club in the college. So, it’s a golden chance for them to learn, work and grow; because success is where preparation and opportunity meets.
A week-long workshop was conducted by DSC Lead on NodeJS for the students. The workshop started with a quick description of JavaScript. The students were taught to use the basic syntax, function call, loops and all the fundamentals needed to start with.
An overview for styling the page on the front-end was provided. Basics of HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap were discussed in brief. The students were able to apply the elemental tags of the styling languages smoothly.
The workshop further started with NodeJS fundamentals and principles. Assignments were designed for the students to practice later. Slack made it very easy for sharing the relevant information and entertain the queries of the students. The workshop then continued with MongoDB - a cross-platform document-oriented database program.

Earlier we thought to cover the designed syllabus in two days, but then our workshop extended to almost a week, and we received really good feedback. All the useful sources and links were shared among the students to explore more about NodeJS as there’s no end of learning. And in the technical world, we live in you can always learn something new whenever you want to.
