This Bootcamp was specially designed for individuals who have little to no experience in programming. This session was conducted by the top coders of our college. The motive of this session was mostly to make them familiar with competitive programming and some of the technologies. Competitive programming is important because as technology becomes more advanced, societies will need to adjust and algorithm contests can help that transition. You can become a good programmer, an excellent data scientist and that too without ever touching at competitive programming but if you want to write an efficient program in order to increase its performance and efficiency then practising algorithms and coding contests can be a great help.

Session by Revant Gupta and Abhishek Verma

We also make them familiar with some of the coding platforms like hackerrank, codeforces, codechef, hackerearth etc.. In the session, we also provided an Introduction to various STL (for C++) like vectors, sets, maps, arrays etc..

Did it help?
Well for that we have asked all the students to start working on A2 Online Judge (A2OJ) ladder; starting from Div 2.A. In that way we can track down their day-to-day progress report. This will also help us to plan our next session on Competitive coding and moreover our focus area in that session.
