Kicking off Cloud Study Jams in Bhubaneswar led by DSC KiiT
Getting Started
Google colludes with academy students🎓 who are enthusiastic about growing developer communities and supports them with commencing student clubs on their campuses. Developer Student Clubs is a program that recognizes and supports university students who are excited about growing developer communities that cultivate learning, sharing, and collaboration. The clubs will be open to any student, ranging from novice developers who are just starting to advanced developers who want to uplift their skillset. The clubs are designed as space for students to try out new ideas and collaborate to solve mobile and web development problems💯.
On March 3rd, 2019 the students of Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology witnessed the very first event organized by #DSCKiiT at the Computer Science Department of KiiT. The event was led by the codelab instructor and Founder of Orbonix Labs, Mr. Sanjib Parida. He started with a brief intro about the Cloud Study Jams series that is happening around the world now. Students were really interested to know about the initiatives Google is taking up to spread education for free to students.
Overview
Students at #CloudStudyJams19 were given a code that they could use to avail their free $55 course on Baseline Machine Learning. With the current world still adapting to the aggressive needs of ML and AI, this was a growth promotion. QuikLabs codelab sessions started right after Sanjib Sir gave a small intro on Machine Learning and on how it can help eliminate fake news. The fun use cases of ML encouraged the students to not drop interest, although it is a very challenging task to code for more than a couple of hours.
To keep students interested and charged up, there was a Twitter and Instagram contest where participants had to use their social media talent and post creative content.🤯
They had to post using #GoogleCloud, #DSCKiiT, and #CloudStudyJams19 to win goodies🎉 like t-shirts, badges and more. It was an amazing scene full of students taking pictures and engaging.🧑🏻🤝🧑🏻
