I took this a slightly alternative route from my research paper, deciding to analyze the use of shock value in media. Slight disclaimer: I include a lot of clips in which I think shock value is utilized really well, so I’m not criticizing every clip (and certainly not every show) that appears in this video. Also, The Walking Dead spoilers only go up to season 5 and the Game of Thrones spoilers extend to season 3.
