Introducing Dtravel’s In-App Wallet

One of the goals of Dtravel is to build the largest DAO in the world including: hosts, guests, crypto native and non-native crypto members. To ensure that Dtravel’s booking platform is easy and seamless for anyone to use, no matter their familiarity with crypto, we’ve launched our in-app wallet that makes it easy to pay using TRVL (ERC-20) or USDT (ERC-20).

Currently, the Dtravel wallet has three main functions:

• Payments
• Deposits
• Withdrawals

Payment

Guests will be able to pay using funds in their Dtravel wallet, whether it’s funds they transfer in from an external wallet or the TRVL they receive for completed bookings that get credited to their Dtravel wallet. Guests can still choose to use an external wallet to pay for bookings but this option makes it easy to complete a booking without having to access an external wallet.

Deposit

Guests can deposit TRVL (ERC-20) or USDT (ERC-20) from an external wallet into their Dtravel wallet so they can use these funds when paying for bookings. Support for more cryptocurrencies will be added in the future.

Withdrawals

Guests will be able to withdraw TRVL (ERC-20) or USDT (ERC-20 from their Dtravel wallet to an external wallet at any time. There is a maximum single and daily withdrawal amount of $5,000 USD for security purposes. Support for more cryptocurrencies will be added in the future.

Withdrawals for TRVL (ERC-20) and USDT (ERC-20) are now available in the Dtravel wallet. Withdrawals to the BEP-20 network are coming soon! To use the current withdrawal flow, make sure to follow the current guidelines:

• Guests must have some balance in supported assets Guests must enable Google Authentication to be able to withdraw for security purposes. To turn on your Google Authentication, go to: Account > Security > Google Authentication.

• Only ERC-20 is supported with this release; other networks like BEP20 will be available soon
• The 24h withdrawal amount limit is $5K USD. For withdrawals, higher than this amount, the transaction will be blocked for security reasons
• The maximum withdrawal limit in a single transaction is $5K USD
• OTP sent to email is valid for 30 minutes
• Guests are responsible for all transaction fees associated with the withdrawal
• Withdrawal time may take 30 minutes up to a few hours, depending on the network, to be completed

When a guest requests a withdrawal, they will need to enter the email verification code sent to the registered email and also enter the code from the Google authenticator app linked with their account on Dtravel. If both are correct, guests can submit the withdrawal request and wait for the request to be completed.

After the transaction, guests will receive an email verifying their withdrawal. Guests can also check their withdrawal history on the Dtravel wallet dashboard.
