Genesys Partners, the team contributing to Dtravel, is excited to announce that Bruno Woltzenlogel Paleo has joined as a STEM Lead to further accelerate Dtravel’s mission to create new organizational structures that enable participants to both provide and capture value, whether economic or societal.

With notable experience combining academic research and rigor with commercial application of that knowledge, Bruno will focus on building a long- term healthy ecosystem for Dtravel and the TRVL token. Bruno’s addition to Dtravel rounds out an already strong core contribution team with experience in the home sharing and travel industries as well as blockchain and crypto.

Bruno has an extensive career in academia. A logician who studied electronics engineering at the Brazilian Air Force’s Aeronautical Institute of Technology, Bruno went on to obtain an MSc in computational logic from Dresden University of Technology, and later a PhD in theoretical computer science from the Vienna University of Technology. Bruno also worked as a scientist at the Technische Universitat Wien in Austria, at INRIA in France, and at the Australian National University. In parallel with his academic career, Bruno has led the development of many open-source projects in the fields of automated theorem proving, computational linguistics, sustainability, and electronic voting.

Bruno has been Formal Methods specialist, Software Architect, Director of Engineering and Technical Director for Stablecoins and CBDCs for IOHK (Cardano) since 2017, where some of his most notable contributions include: the design of the native multi-asset feature for Cardano, the chimeric ledgers approach to unify UTXO-based and account-based blockchains, the design of the Djed stablecoin protocol, and the conception of the Unchained wallet for offline peer-to-peer transactions.

Bruno is most excited about: tackling open challenges in the development of Dtravel as a decentralized marketplace platform for a vibrant, self-driving economy for home sharing. I’m keen to search for mathematically rigorous, elegant and simple solutions for these challenges.

Bruno’s favorite place to travel is: The beaches of the state of São Paulo in Brazil have been a recurring favorite travel place recently, where we took the kids to play.

Bruno’s favorite travel memory is: Backpacking with my sister in Argentina and Chile; Backpacking with two friends in Bolivia and Peru; Travelling by motorhome everywhere in Scandinavia with my parents; Driving all around and camping in Iceland with my wife (then girlfriend).
