TRVL Token Utility

Dtravel is a home sharing community that chooses to structure and govern itself as a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO). The Dtravel DAO economy is built around the TRVL token. All TRVL token holders are Dtravel community members by default.
An overarching and perennial goal of the Dtravel community is to build a platform that enables accommodation discovery, bookings and payments, be they in traditional currencies, popular cryptocurrencies, or the TRVL token.
The token distribution has been designed to: (1) ensure a gradual increase of the circulating supply of TRVL; (2) align the interests of the community, investors, core contributors and advisors; and (3) encourage long-term sustainability.
The TRVL token is used as an incentive to reward community members who use the Dtravel ecosystem. TRVL has four primary use cases within Dtravel:
- Travel
- Loyalty
- Protection
- Governance
TRAVEL
Dtravel allows guests to pay for bookings in a wide variety of traditional currencies and cryptocurrencies, including TRVL. By using TRVL within the Dtravel platform, guests and hosts are also rewarded:
- Guests who pay for their booking in TRVL can benefit from a cashback of up to 25% of the total nominal fees.
- Hosts who opt to receive payments in TRVL can benefit from a cashback of up to 25% of the total nominal fees.
LOYALTY
Dtravel encourages community participation by rewarding activities of various types within the Dtravel ecosystem, creating opportunities for members to be rewarded in TRVL for their time and effort.
Onboarding Incentives
Onboarding Incentives serve to encourage new members to join the Dtravel platform. Under this initiative, TRVL tokens can be acquired when members:
- Join the Dtravel community as an early bird (reward of 25–75 TRVL to the first 300,000 members, depending on when the member joins). Learn more.
- Help the community grow by referring new members to Dtravel (50 TRVL per completed guest or host referral, up to a maximum of 200 TRVL). Learn more.
Growth Actions
Growth Actions serve to incentivize bookings on the Dtravel platform.
Star Host Action: 15,000,000 TRVL has been allocated as rewards to incentivize hosts with exceptional performance who satisfy the eligibility conditions to join Dtravel. Star Hosts will receive:
- 1.5 TRVL per US$100 worth of completed bookings (up to a maximum of 450 TRVL).
- A Star Host NFT.
Star Guest Action: 15,000,000 TRVL has been allocated as rewards to incentivize guests with exceptional performance who satisfy the eligibility conditions to join Dtravel. Star Guests will receive:
- 1.5 TRVL per US$100 worth of completed bookings (up to a maximum of 450 TRVL).
- A Star Guest NFT.

Future Growth Actions
35,000,000 TRVL will be reserved for funding additional onboarding incentives, growth actions, or other growth initiatives based on community sentiment via the Dtravel Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO).
Support-to-Earn
Support-to-Earn will position Dtravel at the forefront of innovation by allowing contributors to trade their time, expertise and loyalty for TRVL tokens. In doing so, Dtravel will become the world’s first true multi-dimensional sharing economy — not only because the token is designed to be shared with members, but because members can share their contributions with the home sharing community as a whole.
For example, Support-to-Earn can be implemented within the areas of ecosystem growth, community management, ambassador programs and the Community DAO. The program can also be used to support the decentralization of operations functions, such as customer support, dispute resolution, onboarding, and host success.

PROTECTION
Dtravel has a Protection Pool to ensure that all properties hosting on Dtravel have assistance available in the event that damages which are beyond the settlement of the guest occur (subject to terms and conditions).
The Protection Pool will initially be funded with 1,000,000 TRVL tokens from the Community Treasury. To ensure the long-term sustainability of the pool, 1% of every booking made on the Dtravel platform will be allocated to the Protection Pool. Over time, the goal is to diversify the Protection Pool and have a minimum of US$1,000,000 in coverage for hosts. If the 1,000,000 TRVL is insufficient to cover any claims before being diversified to US$1,000,000, the Community Treasury will act as a lender of last resort.
GOVERNANCE
All TRVL token holders can choose to participate directly in the development and success of Dtravel by:
- Voting on Dtravel Improvement Proposals (“Dtravel IPs”)
- Submitting Dtravel IPs
- Contributing to the dialogue regarding product, platform and ecosystem improvements through governance communication channels
It is important to acknowledge that as Dtravel grows, many new members will join as either hosts and/or guests on the Dtravel platform with limited knowledge of blockchain technology.
These incentives have been designed to ensure that new hosts and guests are rewarded in TRVL tokens so that all members can participate in the governance and furtherance of Dtravel.
