Thank you for investing your time in understanding my work! This curriculum is divided into active initiatives and past adventures.

Throughout my journey as a creator I got involved in several initiatives that taught me lessons, sharpened my skills and built up my capacity to handle risks and achieve results. It’s this unique collection of experiences that made me who I am.

What I am doing now:

Redesign Democracy: Campaigns for Peace

A Political Hackathon where everybody wins

Redesign Democracy uses design thinking and other social innovation methodologies to engage the public with political issues and support spin off movements that come out of prototyping events — we believe that having more voices (and minds and hearts and hands) involved in the Political Process might be one of the pieces of the puzzle in staving off the slow but relentless rise of far right thinking. I was organiser and lead facilitator of the last edition. Redesign Democracy format by the D.Collective

Fit for experienced artists and complete beginners, we will work on the participant with the goal of becoming a ‘Creator of Everything’ by activating 4 pillars of action: Observation, Research, Process and Delivery. Catete 92

Self Managed Space Experiment in Rio de Janeiro

Collaborative House in Rio de Janeiro that I cofounded and helped fund. Based on P2P ideals and staff-less — It was on off-chain D.A.O., We ran for 17 months. Physical infrastructure was completely mutualised as well as management — there were no official positions — nobody was officially in charge. Costs were covered by voluntary donations. Anyone could get a copy of the keys to the house. It was a great (surprising) success. For what was achieved, the investment was minimal. A community of 7000 was catalysed and coexisted in a clean, organised and functional space with 7 rooms. It ran more then 1000 events.

Trance, Trauma and Transition Film

(Collaborative Film Project — on hold)

Me and Tanja Schwarz decided to collaborate once more and boarded planes to Beijing. Trance, Trauma and Transition started in China aiming to grow into an international participatory experiment that collects Video Essays across cultures. We are exploring the internal pressures of coming of age in the first decades of the 21st century — What is sacred? What is safe? What is sane? Project currently on hold.

Me Conte

Solo painting Show

Project was born due to an invitation from curator Aglaize Damasceno to show at CCBC in Rio de Janeiro. 4 months in preparation and completely crowdfunded and crowdsourced — the project consisted first of a simple website (www.meconte.net, no longer online) where participants answered the question “What is the most intimate story you would tell a complete stranger”. From 200 intense responses 9 were selected to become paintings that were shown side by side with the stories.

Culture of Permanence — The Game

Conceptual Deck for Arc Artistic Residency

Me and Tanja Schwarz authored Culture of Permanence — The Game — A deck of cards that challenges pre-established perceptions of the words “Culture” and “Permanence ” by associating them to images that impact the viewer. Comprised of 40 Culture and 40 Permanence cards, the deck was used to help the community of Romain Môtier to explore their understanding of their challenges and desires.

Beyond Us Workshop

Relational Experiment for Transnational Dialogues Nomadic Residency

A 3 day relational experiment with 45 participants that convened in São Paulo, Brazil. Hailing from several states of Brazil and walks of life. All of them answered to an online open call to debate and explore the concepts of Merit, Power and Privilege. The resulting contributions took part in the international research project ”Between Crowds and Empires”
