People over the years always come to the debate of the recreational or medical use of marijuana, also know as Cannabis, and many other terms such as weed, pot, and Mary Jane. Cannabis is also the lowest toxic drug that there is to the human body (going to link study)

With more modern times emerging in different societies, different cities have become more open to its legal use whether it is medical or recreational.

There are 23 states that have legalized the medical use of Cannabis, while only four that allow its legal recreational use, Colorado, Washington, California and just approved in July of 2017: Nevada. (Need to do more research on this because I believe Arizona is part of it)

Over 71 percent of Florida residents have voted for at least the medical use of marijuana to treat illnesses. (More on the news press article I got this information from)

Politicians in Florida (names here) are debating its full legalization views and some seem more optimistic than others.

The more the issue is looked at, the more it points to a stigma view of the drug in some cities. Older cities with higher senior citizen populations seem to neglect the welcoming of medical dispensaries’ much less recreational ones. Cities with younger citizens seem more open to the uses of Cannabis and these rising cities might tip the scales in their favor in the upcoming ballot vote. (Going to put more information about this here.)

Fort Myers is not just home to Florida Gulf Coast University students but to a lot of snowbirds and skeptical citizens. November 9th, 2016 marked Florida’s milestone of legalizing medical marijuana although it’s not that simple in some Floridian cities.

Dr. Green Relief in Fort Myers is a medical marijuana doctor service. They diagnose patients and help them get their medical marijuana card certifications not only in Florida but also in Nevada and California. (Quotes from Doctor interview to be inserted)
