How the Library is shaping E-Learning initiatives at DIDI
by Donabella M. Obias
When COVID-19 hit the region our institution began preparations for a new mode of operating. Before the national mandate for e-learning, the library was already well-equipped to provide online access for you, our students.

Despite the current movement restrictions, the library is fully committed to continue delivering on the golden DIDI standard.
The first challenge was how to provide access to physical books. To alleviate this need, we sought to expedite the process of activating e-books as part of our rich and expanding online databases.
This includes links to many resources: books, journals, periodicals, researches, video tutorials, and online data-bases, including: Proquest E-Book Central, LinkedIn Learning, MIT Press, Jstor, Vogue Archive.
You can check back, as new resources are added from from time to time.

The second question, is how to provide one-to-one support, to enrich your online coursework . This includes looking up articles and sharing online tutorials based on your requests, and also to be there to talk and help ease the stress. We are in close coordination with faculty members to search and compile the best resources to help you.
As students you can help too! We are open to any ideas you may have for social or collaborative activities that can be facilitated through the library.
Recently, Dean Asfour posed the question, during this historical and world changing moment, What Did DIDI Do? We, at the library, are rising to the challenge, removing barriers to knowledge and information, offering our help and expertise searching for articles and tutorial, and providing encouragement wherever possible, to you and your faculty, to help spice up learning remotely.
To our students, we may not be meeting the same as before — nevertheless, the DIDI Library is still here, working for you
