Delio, partnership with Galaxia Money Tree to launch Bitcoin payment service

Delio (CEO James Jung), a company specializes in Defi, made a partnership with a fintech company Galaxia Money Tree to launch a payment service using Bitcoin in earnest.
Delio and Galaxia Money Tree recently announced that they signed a business agreement to settle Bitcoin payments and started making Bitcoin payments through Galaxia Money Tree’s digital asset exchange platform “MONEY TREE” on the 21st.
Galaxia Moneytree is an affiliate of Hyosung Co., Ltd. that specializes in fintech that provides electronic payment, O2O business, and living finance platform services. The platform “Money Tree” has been leading the simple payment service industry since the service was opened in February 2017, with 3.5 million cumulative downloads and more than 2 million members.
The Bitcoin Payment service, which has been released this time, can be used by anyone who subscribes to Delio and Money Tree, and payments are automatically made by simply selecting “Bitcoin Payment” in Money Tree and scanning the barcode. Bitcoin’s market price is based on BTC’s market price on the Bithumb Exchange.
Already overseas, PayPal, a global electronic payment service, announced the start of cryptocurrency payments in March, followed by Elon Musk’s Tesla Corp. that it also supports Bitcoin payments.
Famous U.S. conglomerates such as MasterCard and Visa are also turning to cryptocurrency payment support services, raising expectations that commercialization of cryptocurrency payments will begin in earnest.
“The advantage of using crypto assets such as Bitcoin is that it can greatly reduce costs such as existing payments and card fees,” a Delio official said. “In Korea, crypto asset payment markets such as Bitcoin are only early in introduction.
“The Bitcoin payment service with Delio can be used at any time, such as at major convenience stores, cafes, and dessert stores,” said an official at Galaxy Money Tree. “We hope this Bitcoin payment service will serve as an opportunity to popularize crypto asset payment services.”
