No matter what

I bought a room
one day
to collect
things that matter,
like a library
but not for books.

I posted a sign
one day
and strung arrows
on the highway,
pointing to
things that matter.

But no one
stopped in,
and my lonely room
sadly multiplied
everywhere I went,
no matter what.
