Rand Paul belongs in medical school, not Congress

Senator Rand Paul is an ophthalmologist who completed his residency in OB/GYN at Magee-Women’s Hospital in Pittsburgh. He and I have something in common. Both of my daughters were born at Magee! There’s your trivia for the day.

Rand Paul started criticizing Dr. Fauci last year about his COVID-19 statements. My blood pressure went up 30 points. All I could think of was, “What the fuck does Rand Paul know about epidemiology?” He’s just a politician who tries to discredit people smarter than him. If he wasn’t in Congress, nobody would care what he has to say. He’s not a scientist. There’s nothing in his background making him an expert in pandemics.
