The Glenmore AC U10 girls team in Tullamore

The weekend was another busy one for the athletes of Glenmore AC. On Saturday, the club’s U10 girls competed in the All Ireland U9-U11 Pairs and Relays competition in Tullamore.

The U10 girls 4x100 relay team of Grace Keenan, Katie McDonald, Emma McCarragher, Jessica White and sub Ella Connolly ran very well to qualify through the heats to the final. They finished fourth and did themselves proud. Katie McDonald and Emma McCarragher also competed in the U10 javelin pairs.

Congratulations also to Lloyd Byrne, Kinga Byrne and Tony Ashby all of whom ran well at the Drogheda Midsummer 5k Race and of course to sisters Mia and Eva Ashby who came home first and second female juveniles.

Well done to Fiona McQuade who completed her first marathon in Waterford at the weekend and to Barry Woods who completed the Waterford Half Marathon.
