Paul Reger in action for DkIT’s ‘B’ team against Inchicore

DkIT’s senior football team moved into the second round of the Colleges FAI Perpetual Cup with an impressive 2–0 win over Cork IT on Tuesday afternoon.

Former Dundalk FC winger Carlton Ubaezuonu got Thomas McShane’s side off to a flyer before Drogheda United’s Barry Akanni sealed the win in a game played at the AUL Complex in Dublin.

Meanwhile, in round one of the Eustace Cup, DkIT’s ‘B’ team hammered Inchicore College of Further Education on Wednesday, hitting eight goals without reply.

Evan Bird and Liam O’Callaghan bagged a brace apiece with Gary Maher, Tolani Animashaun, Gemso Cankoya and Izu Chimeka also on target for the local college.

Elsewhere in the Eustace Cup, DkIT’s ‘C’ team fell to a heavy 6–1 defeat against their Cork IT counterparts at the AUL with Jan Luca Muller grabbing their consolation.
