Management at Dundalk Stadium is currently finalising plans ahead of the resumption of horse racing at the Racecourse Road on Friday, September 20th.

The seven-race card, which gets underway at 5.25pm, begins a run of 35 such events to be held between September and April. It follows on from a summer break which saw extensive work carried out at the local track.

Following the recommendation of Martin Collins, one of the world’s leading authorities on artificial all-weather surfaces, over 50 tonnes of clopf fibre was blended into the track’s surface in August.

Other enhancements that are currently in progress will see further improvements made to what chief executive, Jim Martin calls ‘the spectator experience’ with the installation of new HD televisions and video walls.
