This July, on Dune
With July already behind us, Dune moves another step closer toward our next major network upgrades and implementations. Before we look ahead at what is coming next, let’s turn our attention to what has happened in the #duniverse this month!
Dune Folding
With much anticipation, July saw the launch of Dune Folding, a community initiative to incentivise contribution to the brilliant Folding@home. By simply downloading the application, registering at dunefolding.nl, and running the app in the background of your device, you can help scientists treat real-world diseases, and earn some $DUN for your heroic efforts! Solidity
Progress continues to track steady and true with our Solidity interpreter. Interoperability is a big topic for blockchain projects as we head into the latter part of 2020. This is why we feel it is so important to provide support for the worlds most popular smart contract language by Dune. Open-Source the Playground
We’re proud as punch to announce the Dune Playground source code is now available on GitLab under the MIT license: https://gitlab.com/dune-network/dune-playground.

Raffle
And speaking of the playground, with only the interface remaining, our newest game, Dune Raffle, is almost ready to launch! We will have more details to come on this very soon!
Burn bright
Cycle 177 saw a little over twenty-three million DUN removed from circulation. While this process has been a divisive subject, the net positive effect of the protocol so far has been in line with expectations. As we continue to move forward, we are looking at options to review the sentiment of the community on this matter and act appropriately.
