Rada Quest (TCG) is a game that combines strategy and collectible cards, offering a unique experience for players. The main mechanic involves generating resources to upgrade cards by enhancing production buildings and earning event rewards. These battle cards will allow you to face off against other players and demonstrate your strategic skills.

One of the distinguishing features of Rada Quest is its integration with blockchain technology. Game cards and most assets, such as coins for mini-games and magic potions, can be traded as NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) and FTs (Fungible Tokens) on the WAX Blockchain. This allows players to have true ownership of their assets, whether they purchased them from other players or earned them as event rewards.

Although spending money is not necessary to start playing, it is recommended to make a small investment to progress more quickly. Currently, with approximately 25 WAX (less than 1 USD), you can acquire cards to get started in the Coliseum and purchase the initial coins needed to participate in the Gems mini-game, which we will discuss later.

For more ambitious players, there is an option to buy more powerful cards or card packs and enjoy the thrill of discovering the surprises they contain.

Getting Started in Rada Quest

Headquarters: Your Command Center

The first thing a new player should do is activate the basic resource production buildings: the farm, the mine, and the sawmill, to produce food, stone, and wood — essential materials for enhancing game cards.

In the early days, it’s crucial to reuse the generated resources to continue upgrading the buildings. As these buildings level up, they have greater production and storage capacity. Each time a building fills its warehouse, you must collect the materials to allow continued production. While the storage capacity of the buildings depends on their level, the central inventory of the game can hold up to 999,999,999 units of each resource. Accumulate as much as you can, as you will need it!

The Farm

Up to level 10, you can upgrade the buildings for free using the wood, stone, and food you generate. Beyond that level, you’ll need to spend Soul Crystal, the game’s currency, which can be obtained in various ways, as we will explain later.

Mini-games: Earn Rewards with Gems

Currently, players can participate in the weekly tournaments of the Gems mini-game, a match-3 puzzle game where you must move colored tiles to form groups and clear them from the board. Depending on the size of the group eliminated, you will earn points. Some combinations also trigger special combos with generous rewards.

Gems Mini-Game

To play Gems, you need Credits, an in-game currency. You can buy Credits in the game store: 5 WAX gives you 10 Credits, and 25 WAX gives you 50 Credits.

In-Game Store

Note: You can earn Credits as rewards from various activities, including the Gems game itself. Many players accumulate Credits and trade them on the secondary market of WAX, such as Alcor or Taco.

Each game of Gems can yield rewards like magic potions, Credits, and even Soul Crystal, depending on the combos achieved. Additionally, there is a weekly tournament with bigger prizes based on the category players reach. These prizes include WAX, card packs, and Soul Crystal, as well as other potential prizes like WUF tokens, a result of the collaboration with the Wuffi project on WAX/SOL.

The Gems tournament is a great way to obtain resources and card packs needed for the Coliseum.

Game Cards: Your Arsenal in Rada Quest

Before delving into the Coliseum, it’s important to understand the game cards, the main asset in Rada Quest.

Cards can be in two states: Base and Extended. The game generates cards in their Base state, and players must enhance and fuse them to obtain Extended cards.

Two Base cards fused create one Extended card. The fusion destroys the Base cards used. The fusion can be perfect (Perfect Mature) or imperfect, depending on whether the Base cards were enhanced before fusing. Both are useful, but PM cards are more powerful.

Moreover, Extended cards need to be enhanced to reach their maximum power. This is why producing resources is crucial!

Each card has a faction, several attributes, and an ability.

  • Faction: Distinguishes between Light and Shadow cards. Playing with cards from the same faction grants special benefits.
  • Ability: Can be attack, defense, or looting. Combining abilities is essential for events like the Coliseum.
  • Attributes: Include experience, which determines the number of troops the card can command (warriors for attack, wizards for defense, and serfs for looting).

The card is fully enhanced when all its attributes are maxed out. Enhancing it requires consuming resources, which you can combine based on your needs and inventory availability.

To start with minimal expenditure, we recommend creating a deck of 20 common, extended, and perfectly enhanced cards, which you can buy in secondary markets like AtomicHub or NFTHive. At the time of writing, it was possible to purchase the 20 cards for about 20 WAX in total.

Although cheaper cards are available, it’s important to know some details before purchasing:

  1. Status: Should be Extended, indicated by the (Ext) text in the card name.
  2. Attributes: You should study the card’s attributes.
  • Status: Base / Extended
  • Rarity: Common, rare, ultra-rare, and legendary (from less to more powerful).
  • PM: Perfect Mature, true or false (better if true).
  • Maxlvl: Maximum experience level.
  • Lvl: Current level (better if equal to the maximum).
  • Maxpts: Maximum attribute points.
  • Warriors/Wizards/Serfs: Warriors, wizards, and serfs (equal to maxpts means fully enhanced).

Note: Each card has a skill attribute that can be attack, defense, or looting, with low, medium, or high levels. The number of warriors, wizards, or serfs may be higher depending on the skill.

Coliseum: The Great Challenge

The Coliseum is the main event in Rada Quest. Each campaign lasts several weeks and is organized into three stages or qualifying phases. The days before each phase allow players to compete and practice without earning points, though they can gain other rewards like medals to open the Coliseum reward chest, which contains an exclusive game card.

In the deck-building section, you can select up to five cards in the attack line and five in defense. Looting cards should be strategically placed.

Note: Attack and defense power is crucial for winning battles, but looting power determines the points you earn. Don’t overlook this factor.

Players receive a number of free tickets to participate in the Coliseum. If they run out, they can purchase more to continue competing.

The battle outcome depends on the combination of attack, defense, and looting cards and the opponent’s cards. Battles are not assisted, so you don’t need to wait to find an opponent.

Each qualifying phase offers rewards, with the most generous ones in the final phase, where exclusive cards can be won by the top players.

The Coliseum also allows the use of special cards, which offer advantages during battles. Although not mandatory, they enrich the gameplay experience.

To balance the game, several categories have been created so players face opponents of similar power levels. The higher the category, the better the prizes.
