1. WHY DUUL?

Our organization is dedicated to helping players earn real money and rewards for playing games. Since 2014, we’ve been working towards the goal of making “gaming pays” a reality for amateur and professional players alike.

With the DUUL platform, players and organizers at any level can easily join, create, manage, and promote competitions of all sizes. In addition to our fully comprehensive eSports competition platform, we offer resources to help you grow no matter where you fit into the industry.

2. HOW DOES THE PLATFORM WORK?

DUUL completely automates the process of managing competitions. By using our platform, you can automate: participant entries, match results, streaming and interaction, payouts, analytics, and more!

We work directly with developers and publishers to ensure that data to and from DUUL is 100% accurate, no matter the game or platform. Your matches and events, fully automated, with real payouts — all on DUUL.

DUUL is comprised of dedicated gamers who are making the dream of getting paid to play games come true. We are all players at heart; combined, we have over 70 years of experience in tech and games. Some of us were even around to play the Atari 2600 as kids!

5. GENERAL QUESTIONS

HOW DO I REPORT A BUG OR ISSUE WITH DUUL?

Send an email to support@duulnow.com with the following information:

  • Game, Game Type (ARAM, Team Deathmatch, CTF, etc.), and Competition Type (Match, Tournament, etc.)
  • Competition URL (if applicable)
  • Your DUUL account username and email address
  • A description of the issue (with screenshot and/or video, if possible)

IS IT POSSIBLE TO REPORT PLAYERS IN THE COMMUNITY FOR INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR AND/OR SUSPECTED CHEATING?

While we go out of our way to make sure that our community is wholly positive, sometimes issues do arise. Send an email to support@duulnow.com with a description of the issue (and screenshots/video, if at all possible) and we’ll take a look at your request.

WHAT IS THE EASIEST WAY TO CONTACT DUUL?

Emailing us at support@duulnow.com is preferred, however sending us a Tweet also works!

WHAT OTHER GAMES WILL YOU BE ADDING TO DUUL?

We’ll be adding connected games periodically to DUUL based on community feedback and what makes the most logistical sense for our company. Announcements will be made whenever we will launch a new integration.

6. ACCOUNT BALANCE

HOW DO I DEPOSIT FUNDS INTO MY ACCOUNT?

You can deposit funds into your account by clicking on the avatar in your profile banner. A drop down menu will appear with “Add Funds” listed as the second option. A pop-up with show up enabling you to add funds to your account.

Update [27 June 2016]: At this time, we only accept deposits via Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. PayPal deposits coming soon!

Clicking on your personal banner will allow you to use account actions.

HOW DO I WITHDRAW MY EARNINGS?

You can withdraw funds into your account by clicking on your avatar in the top right corner of the page. A drop down menu will appear with “Withdraw Funds” listed as the third option in the menu. On the withdraw page you will be given the option to select your payment method and the amount that you would like to withdraw.

NOTE: The current withdrawal minimum is $20.

7. THE DUUL PLATFORM

HOW DO I LOGIN AND CREATE AN ACCOUNT?

Visit the front page of our site and select either “Login” or “Sign Up.”

From there, you may fill out your username and contact information, add funds, and connect your games.

HOW DO I ACCESS MY PROFILE AND ACCOUNT SETTINGS?

By selecting “Edit Account,” you will be able to change your profile picture, edit your email and password, and add or modify your user and connected game information.

WHAT’S THE FASTEST WAY TO GET INTO A COMPETITION?

A preview of the “Quick Matches” tab.

When you reach the competition page, you’ll find three tabs to find matches: Quick Matches, Featured, and your Competition History.

In Quick Matches and Featured, you may Quick Join a competition to instantly buy into it or view the Match Info to get more context before joining.

By hovering over a competition thumbnail, you’ll be able to Quick Join it or view the Match Info.

When you select “Match Info,” you’ll be able to get more details and click “Join Now” if you want to play.

HOW DO I SCHEDULE OR CREATE A COMPETITION?

In order to create a custom competition, access your profile banner and select “Create Competition.

From there, you may determine exactly what specifications you want for your competition.

Once you have completed filling out your competitions details, click the “Create Competition” button and you’re good to go!

HOW DO I INVITE SOMEONE TO MY COMPETITION?

Custom URLs for individual competitions will be released between late April and early May 2016. Matches and tournaments will also have sharing functionality across various other channels in the near future.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I CREATE A COMPETITION?

After a competition has been created, players must register for the match or tournament. If the competition has an entry fee, players will need to buy in to participate.

Once all players have registered, a notification will appear in the notification bar with an entry key for the competition. The tournament code will be included in the notification so you can enter the match lobby within the game.

DO COMPETITIONS HAVE TO CARRY AN ENTRY FEE?

Negatory! You can create or join free friendly competitions to practice and hone your skills for bigger matches and events. There’s a few cool benefits to doing so:

  1. You can still earn credits on DUUL through our rewards system.
  2. You’ll support other players in the community who may not always want to play paid matches.
  3. We’ll be able to offer more to our players who only want to play free matches!

If and when you’re ready to move to paid competitions, you’ll already have friends to play with on DUUL!

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE COMPETITION IS FINISHED?

Once individual matches have been completed, stats are displayed on the competition page (and in competition history) and winners will immediately be notified of their reward in the notification bar.

HOW ARE RESULTS CALCULATED AND SHOWN ON THE RESULTS PAGE?

Stats are shown directly on the competition page. If you won, the payout will displayed in the “Notifications” area and your account will be credited immediately.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO CANCEL A MATCH?

If all entries have been filled, it is not possible to cancel a match. However, it is possible to create a new match or join the same competition type.

Note: Tournament Keys will remain active, even if one or more players do not attend the match. Play against your opponents at any time!

THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE RESULTS OF THE MATCH. HOW COULD I RESOLVE THIS?

Take a screenshot of the actual match results and the results on DUUL’s results page. Provide an explanation and we will investigate it as soon as possible. You can send us your report at support@duulnow.com.

CAN I RECORD OR STREAM MY MATCHES?

Yes! In fact, we encourage you to share your matches through all social media platforms to get more friends and potential rivals to come and play. In the near future, we will have integrated support for streaming.

WHERE CAN I FIND MY MATCH ID?

Match URLs will be ready in July 2016.

CAN I WATCH OTHER PLAYER’S MATCHES?

If they are streaming and you know the URL, absolutely!

HOW DO I DONATE TO THE PRIZE POOL?

We are not accepting crowdsourced prize pools at this time.

HOW DOES POLICING WORK ON DUUL?

DUUL uses a custom policing engine that monitors player behavior to detect abnormalities for individual accounts.

8. GAME INTEGRATIONS

LEAGUE OF LEGENDS

In order to play your DUUL competitions in League of Legends, follow the below steps:

Does DUUL support custom game modes that are not sanctioned by Riot (i.e. first kill, first to 100 CS, etc.)?
