Community Spaces of Hope Homes

The Cooperative Director Erbay Yucak is explaining their plans for future community spaces in the project.

Lot #329 is 9912 m2 area reserved for public spaces. This lot is in a triangle shape with a steep slope separating upper and lower parts, creating differences in the elevation of the site. So far, a multi-purpose community center is constructed with a kitchen, cold storage room, meeting/event room and administration offices for the cooperative. There will be a bread oven with shades and sitting arrangements just next to the multi-purpose community center. There will be a children center/kindergarden designed from recycling three existing containers. A wooden praying area in vernacular architecture will be constructed as well. There will be terraces for relaxing and picnic over the steep slope. On the lower part, there will be a metal roof with a concrete ground that will be used as a farmers market 2 days a week and used as a carpet washing space for 5 days a week.
