Introducing hearts

We’re so happy to announce that, as of right now, hearts appear when you vote for a dvel. It wasn’t an easy decision. But since voting is at the center of dvel, we wanted to highlight that and help you spread the love. Hearts fit the bill quite nicely here. At the same time, we we’re concerned with the overall look and feel of the app. I mean we’re minimalists at heart (no pun intended) and we didn’t want to clutter your decision-making process with unnecessary features or influence your decision. So the hearts will only appear after you’ve voted for a photo. You’ll also find out how other dvelers have voted.

The swipe

The swipe feature makes us giddy with excitement. Why? Because it helps you browse more easily through dvels. Again, the idea here is to add value, but not take anything away from the decision-making process. Go ahead! Open dvel and vote! You’ll notice our lovely heart and the next dvel will appear instantly. You can now swipe back to change the vote on your previous dvel.

I know, pretty controversial stuff. But hey, we want to give you that option just in case you changed your mind and it’s only possible once.
