“Grace”, derived from the Greek New Testament, Charis. It signify “favor,” “goodwill,” and “lovingkindness” — especially as granted by a superior to an inferior.

Grace is defined as the unmerited favor of God toward man. There is nothing we can do to earn this favor, it is a gift from God. It is kindness from God that we don’t deserve.

In Romans 3:23, “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” and from those sins we deserve death penalty. “For the wages of sin is death.” Roman 6:23.

But Christ has paid the penalty for us through His sacrifice on the cross. It is through Christ that we receive God’s grace and if we didn’t receive that grace, we would have died in our sin and never an eternal life with God.

Grace to me, represents the unconditioned love from God. We as human are sinful in nature and no way do we deserve anything good from God. But our sovereign Father chose bless us with his love and forgiveness by sending His one and only Son to die for our sin.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast” (Ephesians 2:8–9).
