DXdao and Status team up to make DeFi more accessible on mobile
DXdao has combined decentralized forces with Status, a secure messaging app, crypto wallet, and web3 browser. As leaders in building decentralized collectives, we’re coming together to create accessibility for everyone in the web3 space.
DXdao is a next-generation decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) for community governance of software protocols. It is fully owned and governed by the community that develops and grows DeFi protocols and products. The platform is a novel and humble experiment on the ends of human coordination with the hope that common stewardship crises can be cooperatively faced on a global level.
DXdao and Status have similar goals that they seek to explore through a deeper partnership, identifying how they can learn, benefit, and build with one another.
During October, DXdao passed a proposal on DXdao’s experimental xDXdao platform (on xDai Chain) with over 31% of REP holders voting to confirm the signal proposal regarding an official DXdao & Status Partnership. To solidify this intention, DXdao plans to reconfirm this on mainnet soon.
Mission of Status
Status strives to be a secure communication tool that upholds human rights. Designed to enable the free flow of information and value, Status seeks to protect the right to privacy, secure conversations, and the sovereignty of individuals.
In light of this mission, Status has created a secure messaging app, crypto wallet, and Web3 browser, all accessible via mobile. What’s more, Status is the first mobile crypto wallet that enables access to xDai with a simple flip of a switch. With 91% of the world’s internet users accessing digital services via mobile phones, DXdao’s partnership with Status leans into meeting a growing global need.
Partnership Details
Through the partnership, community members around both projects will be able to discover DXdao’s suite of products including Omen, Mesa and Rails via Status’ mobile application and its Web3 browser and using https://dap.ps/.
- Omen is a fully decentralized prediction market platform built on top of the Gnosis conditional token framework.
- Mesa is an open source interface for Gnosis protocol, which is a fully permissionless DEX that enables ring trades to maximize liquidity.
- Rails is a gasless, instant payments dapp governed by DXdao and powered by Loopring.
The beauty with Status is that the Web3 browser allows ENS domains like https://omen.eth/ to resolve directly to the IPFS hosted site. This eliminates the need for third party services, making DXdao’s products easily accessible from the Status decentralized browser.
With plans to expand products like Omen and Mesa to xDai Chain, the availability of xDai support in Status is key. Users across the world can tap into powerful projects in a few clicks!
Next Steps
The partnership has already seen the DXdao product suite listed in the DeFi category in the Status dapps browser and it doesn’t stop there. We are exploring ideas around creating co-branded educational guides for builders in the Web3 space and hosting AMAs for both communities to come together and share their web3 journey.
