DXdao Supports Atlantis World with Partnership Grant
Taking First Steps into the Blockchain Metaverse

DXdao has passed an on-chain proposal to provide a $50k grant to Atlantis World to support its vision of creating a fun, easy-to-use Metaverse where users can learn about DAO’s, DeFi, and Web3. A portion of these funds will be distributed through DXdao’s incentive targeted platform, Carrot
Background
DXdao is an organism that lives on the internet. It’s a global, decentralized collective using blockchain technology to govern its decisions and manage its on-chain treasury. It has contributors from all around the world and is constantly communicating and coordinating using online technologies. However, DXdao has never had a presence in the popular blockchain metaverse worlds that have been growing across the space.
Over the past few months, the Atlantis World team has connected with the DXdao community over Jitsi calls and also in person through DXdao’s “Proof of Pale” Ale around Lisbon. When DXdao first met the Atlantis World team, it was clear that they were dedicated to establishing a metaverse that would aid in the onboarding and education of users to the DAO and DeFi spaces.
Atlantis World has done an excellent job of connecting with key projects in the DAO and DeFi spaces, as well as guiding newcomers into the metaverse. This is why DXdao is excited to support Atlantis World with a partnership grant!
The Atlantis World Grant Proposal that passed DXdao governance has defined a set of deliverables that are part of the partnership including:
- Integrate Swapr, Carrot, and DXVote within Atlantis World so that users can access multiple DXdao products in a gamified way.
- Add a portal to multiple DXdao products, a DXdao booth (where users can learn more with social links like Discord), and the DXdao building in Atlantis City.
- Build a fully Web3-enabled (optionally, token-gated) DXdao Clubhouse with DXdao brand styling, audio/video calling, perfect for hosting virtual events, NFT treasure hunts, DAO voting, and other fun stuff.
The plan is for the DXdao Clubhouse to be near to other DAO Clubhouses inside of Atlantis City’s DAO district.
Additionally, as part of the proposal, DXdao and Atlantis World are excited to explore growth onto Gnosis Chain through the growth of DXdao dapps, users and also integrating Atlantis into the ecosystem.
This is an exciting step for DXdao to enter the metaverse space.
Carrot: A New Feature in Partnership Grants
As if all of this wasn’t cool enough already, this partnership grant includes a ground-breaking, one-of-a-kind component. Atlantis World will get Carrot tokens as part of the grant, which will only pay out if the set deliverables are accomplished by a certain date.
The grant effectively has programmable incentives built into the grant for a portion of the capital. Twenty percent of the total grant is being delivered to Atlantis World as Carrot KPI tokens.
DXdao’s Carrot platform, which is a platform for community-driven programmable incentives and can be applied in a variety of use cases, was launched in alpha towards the end of 2021.
To our knowledge, this partnership grant between DXdao and Atlantis World is the first-ever grant which includes KPI-based tokens in the actual grant. These Carrot tokens are liquid tokens that can be held, traded, or eventually redeemed if the condition is met.
Atlantis World has a built-in financial incentive to complete its promised deliverables.

DXdao believes that internet-based communities have the power to change the world. One piece of this is having easy friendly places (in the metaverse) where people can discover and learn about DXdao and also discover and use the products that are part of the DXdao ecosystem.
