The DXdao Discord and community incentive program are now live!
DXdao launches an official Discord server and incentive program, aims to foster growth in the community
It’s no secret that DXdao has had communication challenges in the past. Alongside the efforts of Governance 2.0, DXdao is looking to strengthen its connection with the community; beginning with the launch of the DXdao Discord server!
From February 8th to March 12th, the Discord launch event will take place where up to 30 DXD ($7,000USD at the time of writing) is up for grabs! These are divided as follows:
- 5 DXD for attendance based raffles, found regularly in the #🎉events channel.
- 10 DXD for participation rewards, determined by your level of engagement with the server.
- 5 DXD for the first DXdao meme competition.
- 10 DXD for the top user referrals.
Note: Active DXdao contributors are barred from eligibility for these events.
Attendance Raffles
The first thing to note when joining the Discord is role selection! The Discord has role-based access, allowing users to chat and receive notifications from the products they choose. This can be found in the “📖rules-and-info” channel.
It is advised to read all the rules, there is plenty of important information accompanying them. You’ll need to select the roles of the products you wish to participate in once you reach the bottom. This is done by “reacting” (found underneath a given message).
Note: Selecting the DXdao role is mandatory for the events and memes channels.
Once complete, you will have access to the requested channels. Under the “DXDAO” category, select the #🎉events channel.
Finally, check this channel regularly for events; these will be distributed at random times throughout the period, so check-in often! When one is active, simply react to the post to enter. The winner will be contacted directly on Discord by an administrator.
Note: Under no circumstance will an administrator require you to send any asset, or ask for access to private keys. Only a personal wallet address will be requested.
Participation Rewards
The Discord server has engagement based roles, tracking each user’s level of commitment and attributing a special role on a scale of 1 to 6. These are backdated for 90 days, keeping track of those who are regularly active in the community. In the future, distributing REP to these community members based on their level of participation is a serious consideration if not an inevitability.
The top 10 active participants will receive 1 DXD. These positions can be tracked on the DXdao Discord Dashboard. Asking or answering questions in the community support channels and discussing product updates are great ways to increase your participation. These winners will be announced on March 15th.
Meme Competition
The very first DXdao meme competition is here! Anything goes, ensuring the following criteria is met.
- All content must be related to DXdao or a DXdao product to be eligible for the competition.
- Only original works are accepted.
- Absolutely no NSFW content.
That’s all! First place will take home 2.5 DXD, second place 1.5 DXD, and third place 1 DXD. If you are looking to submit, first navigate to the #😂memes channel found under the “DXDAO” category.
Only media will be allowed in this channel. Any posts made between the dates of February 8th to March 12th will be eligible for this competition. On the closing date, the channel will become locked and voting will commence among active full-time contributors. These winners will be announced on March 17th.
User Referral Program
The user referral program is the fourth and final step of this launch event. Members are encouraged to invite their crypto friends for an additional 10 DXD. 8th to 3rd most used invites will receive 1 DXD, while 2nd and 1st will receive 2 DXD.
To become eligible, first, click on the “Create invite” tab next to the “📖rules-and-info” channel.
From here, select the “Edit invite link” text found at the bottom of the window.
Ensure “Expire After” is set to “Never”, and “Max number of uses” to “No limit”. Finally, generate your link!
By doing this, you have created your own custom invite link that will track uses. These winners will be announced on March 15th.
Note: Administrators will be able to track fake invites and those that join and leave instantly. Additionally, please do not break Discord TOS by sending unsolicited invitations.
