Audiences at London’s Cadogan Hall are used to musical performances that are both perfectly polished and traditionally classical.

However, when guests took their seats to listen to the first ever performance of a piece of music “inspired by Dyson technology” — it is safe to say most didn’t know what to expect.

Two noticeably different musical instruments which had been invented by Dyson engineers were installed on stage when the crowds entered the auditorium triggering a stir of bemused confusion.

Nevertheless, the performance of an original piece of music was a resounding success, with many younger members of the audience remaining behind after the show to try out the unusual musical instruments.

Scroll down to watch a video of the full performance of the original piece of Dyson music, which was premiered as part of the show.
