“Pen is mightier than the sword.”
The above phrase which everyone would have heard a thousand number of times holds great meaning to those who actually harness the power of this. The Documentation team of E-Cell works on the same symbolic motto. The creative bend that the team provides to the architecture on which the E-Cell works is actually responsible to carry out other things with ease.
What is Documentation?
It is the material that provides official information or evidence or that serves as a record. The process of classifying and annotating texts, photographs, etc. In simple words the written detailed specifications about any event, task, or work that needs to be done.
Documentation team of E-Cell, NIT Raipur is responsible for all the write-ups being published in the official website and app of E-Cell. From creating the sponsorship and PR letters and drafts to giving key inputs to the design team, the doc team also caters to the captions that come out with each creative or post published by the E-Cell. The main blog of E-Cell contains excerpts by the creative minds from documentation team. All the major paper work and documenting the minutes of various meetings and other tasks is done and delivered by the documentation team. Work done by this team is one of the most inventive and originative kind of work.
Selection
Selection is done by a two round interview process, where the interview is being taken by the respective head of the domain and the coordinators. Candidates are selected totally on the basis of skills they have and the selection procedure is carried out in an unbiased manner.
Tasks
Major Tasks performed by documentation team-
- It makes the reports of the various events being organized by E-Cell to promote entrepreneurship among youths
- It writes contents as well as captions for the different posters designed by design team, which are posted on various social media sites.
- Documentation team writes all the official letters and applications for seeking permission to organize the events, permission for publicity, booking of classrooms, etc.
- Team members also write articles related to entrepreneurship base on current scenarios, which are published on website of E-Cell.
- Documentation team maintains the record of how the event is being organized and executed.
- It also writes many other docs required as per the need of the E-Cell team.
- The main report of the E-Summit is carved out by the documentation team itself.
All the work and tasks of documentation domain are equally distributed among team members so that there is no workload on any particular member. Meetings are held to address for the same. The team works hard so that the contents required are delivered on time as one of the most important factor for documentation domain is punctuality.
Achievements
The documentation team this year as well published articles on E-Cell’s blog related to entrepreneurial activities and entrepreneurship in general and got special mentions in international media i.e. papers.li and The Merger’s Daily.
The creative bend that you give to your thoughts and how to best depict your ideas into narration that drives people off is the USP of this team.

Keeping this ideology in mind we not only provide the foundation to the entrepreneurial capabilities of the promising young minds but also help in nurturing their skills by providing resources such as new ideas , funding mentoring, other mentor-ship programs, workshops to help them organize their strategy and frequent, highly interactive speaker sessions and lecture series.
At E-Summit we aspire to create a mélange of eminent speakers who have proved themselves in diverse fields and are at the zenith of glory. The cell aims at manifesting the essence of entrepreneurship in the convolution gray matters of the young force coming up. This delegation gives wings to ideas and support in the form of investors and seed funding along with mentor-ship guidance to the pioneering and budding entrepreneurs. The cell aims at promoting the startup culture and building up entrepreneurs who have it in them to become the greatest pioneers of this century.
