From getting bullied in class to becoming the 21st most powerful man on earth, Elon Musk’s had his shares of struggles, opportunities and success. His journey as an entrepreneur started when he made a game called “Blaster” on his VIC and sold it to a magazine for 500$. That was the birth of a man with ambitions to change the course of life on earth.
In 1995, Musk and his brother, Kimbal started “Zip2”, a web software company, with money raised from a small group of angel investors. Compaq acquired Zip2 for US$307 million in cash and Musk received US$22 million for his 7 percent share from the sale. With finances in hand, Musk had set high goals for himself. In 1999, Musk co-founded “X.com” an online financial services and e-mail payment company. A year later, the company merged with Confinity which had a money-transfer service called PayPal.
Determination and persistent will to change his fortunes and make revolutionizing changes in space travel, Elon Musk in 2001 along with his friends went to Russia for buying old and decommissioned soviet ICBM’s for his planetary space company idea and mocked Russians that he would make better rockets for a far lesser price. And that set the course for the birth of his space exploration technologies, which today we know as “SpaceX”. With his ability to work in different domains, Musk started the electric car company “Tesla” which today proudly owns the revamped version of Roadster, with crazy fast acceleration of 0 to 60 mph in just 1.9 secs.
Continuous failures in SpaceX, Tesla on the brink of being bankrupt and personal troubles, the year 2008 became a nightmare for Musk, but he fought his way up and invested 40 million in Tesla and became its CEO.
With SpaceX soaring high in the skies, the multifaceted Musk founded “The Boring Company’ which makes high speed express ways in the ground thus refashioning travel to an all new landscape.
With humanity progressing so fast in the 21st century, Elon musk is definitely one of the prime reasons for this reformation.
“When something is important enough, you do it even if the odds are not in your favour.” With his “Never Say Never” attitude, Elon Musk is an outshining prodigy who works his heart out, aims for the pinnacles of glory and achieves the invincible…
