- The fundraising activity is going down both in number of deals and amount compared to the previous year with 77 deals over the month (vs 92 year -1). The amount raised this month is also decreasing.
- In March, North American’s Edtech deals still represent the most important region with 42% of the global funding amount (vs 67% in February). Europe and Asia, account for 27% and 16% respectively.
- Deputy, a global software platform for managing hourly workers, has raised $37m in a Series C, led by Express Employment Professionals, achieving Unicorn status. Impressively, 1.4M shift workers — mostly in hospitality, healthcare and retail — rely on Deputy’s software.

- There were 21 Exit deals this month which is quite similar to the previous month.
- Cornerstone OnDemand has acquired Talespin, an AR/VR workforce learning platform. This strategic acquisition is designed to strengthen Cornerstone’s content offering.
