First, thank you so much for following E is for Everything through 2016. It is a hobby that I am ready to turn into my life’s work. You’re among the first to follow along, so I wanted to let you in on the plans for this publication going forward, which includes a new Patreon campaign.

The Publication

A platform for leaders without limits

E is for Everything originally started as a publication for my ideas as I explored the Web. It will remain so, but with a twist. I’ve done some work to refine the publication’s point of view, landing on this:

‘E is for Everything’ is a platform for leaders without limits and curiosity without constraint.

So, what got me here? It’s no secret that, going forward, we will all need to be persistent in maintaining our professional flexibility. Whereas in Dale Carnegie’s time, the skills most in demand were those of communication and persuasion and a job could be held for a lifetime. Today, leadership, creativity, strategic thinking, design thinking and emotional intelligence are among the most sought-after traits in jobs that last for a few years at best.

We need tools to lead from where we are and bang on wicked problems, both inside and outside of ourselves. We’ll be called on to build new ladders, escalators, elevators, hovercrafts — just about any means we can think of to rise and help others do the same. We’ll be battling doubt and ambiguity as we tackle unforeseen challenges. We’ll need tools for genuine connection and community. E is for Everything will be dedicated to helping people as they navigate this new and changing landscape. It will be a home for the tribe of people looking to lead where they are, be curious and stay curious.

The Newsletter

Correspondence for curiosity without constraint

E is for Everything has a companion newsletter, which has largely mimicked the publication. It has been a home for my ideas as I find them. The newsletter will fall in line with the publication’s new POV as well.

Deliver a more customized and responsive weekly newsletter experience.

If you know of pieces you wish to see in the newsletter, please feel free to send them along at hello [at] dexign [dot] io. The goal for the newsletter in the coming year is to become a much more customized and responsive experience. Right now, it’s delivered through the ‘free’ version of Goodbits. I’ve launched a Patreon campaign in the hopes of upping the subscription to “Pro”. The goal is to make the newsletter much more responsive to feedback.

The Tribe

The Cur-e-osity Community

My resume is a hodgepodge of a lot of different things. The fact is, there are a growing number of people like me, and I’ve been eager to provide a home to my tribe. We are a people who resist limitations and struggle to tell people what we do and who we are.

Host a tribe of people wary of constraints and eager to lead from where they are.

We are wary of constraints, recognizing they are great for creative work but can be the kiss of death in keeping up with the rapidly changing economy. The goal for E is for Everything, as it grows up, is to build a robust community of curious folks who lead from where they are.

The Support

A request for your help

So, here we are. Everything grows up and evolves, but nothing does so without support. So, E is for Everything now has a Patreon campaign to achieve these and other goals related to the platform. I have very high hopes for this platform, and growing it is something I have wanted to do for quite some time.
