How to Connect Firebase to Google Ads, Which of These Is Required?

If you want to connect your firebase app with Google Ads, you have to follow 9 steps as mentioned below:

  1. Create a Firebase Project: If you haven’t already, create a Firebase project by going to the Firebase console and clicking on the “Create a project” button. Follow the prompts to set up your project and enable any necessary Firebase services.
  2. Create a Google Ads Account: If you don’t already have a Google Ads account, create one by going to the Google Ads website and following the prompts to sign up.
  3. Enable Firebase Integration in Google Ads: In your Google Ads account, go to the “Tools & Settings” menu and select “Linked accounts” under the “Setup” section. Click on the “Details” button next to “Firebase” and follow the prompts to enable the integration. You will need to provide your Firebase project ID, which can be found in the Firebase console.
  4. Link Firebase to Google Ads: In the Firebase console, go to the “Integrations” tab and click on “Google Ads.” Follow the prompts to link your Firebase project with your Google Ads account. You will need to sign in with your Google Ads account and authorize the connection.
  5. Set Up Conversion Tracking: In Firebase, create conversion events for the actions you want to track in your app, such as making a purchase or completing a tutorial. Once you’ve created these events, go to the “Analytics” tab in the Firebase console and click on “Conversion events.” Click on the event you want to track in Google Ads and select “Edit settings.” Under “Google Ads,” select “Send conversion events to Google Ads” and choose the appropriate conversion value and currency.
  6. Verify Conversion Tracking: To verify that your conversion tracking is working correctly, go to the “Conversions” section in your Google Ads account and check that your conversion actions are tracking data correctly.
  7. Create Custom Audiences: In Google Ads, create custom audiences based on the conversion events you’ve set up in Firebase. For example, you can create a custom audience of users who have made a purchase in your app.
  8. Optimize Your Campaigns: Use Firebase data to optimize your Google Ads campaigns. For example, you can adjust your bidding strategy based on the conversion value of your custom audiences or target ads to users who have completed specific in-app actions.
  9. Monitor Performance: Regularly monitor the performance of your Google Ads campaigns and adjust your strategies as needed based on the data you collect from Firebase. Use the Firebase Analytics dashboard to track user behaviour and make informed decisions about your marketing campaigns.
