Top RWA & MiCA News From Last Week

  1. Clearpool Launches Ethereum Layer 2 to Facilitate RWA-centric DeFi Use Cases — Clearpool, a DeFi credit protocol, recently launched Ozean, an OP-stack based Layer 2 network for RWA yield protocols. Ozean will provide an optional compliance layer with a decentralised identity system for fulfilling KYC requirements. As per Clearpool, the compliance layer will unlock RWA interoperability across permissionless protocols, thereby propelling growth within the RWA sector.
  2. MakerDAO securer Chronicle Gearing Up to Launch RWA Oracle with M⁰ Integration — MakerDAO securer Chronicle is launching an RWA oracle via integration with M⁰. M⁰ is an Ethereum-based stablecoin minting protocol. Oracles are entities that provide smart contracts with external inputs and outputs to enable them to execute themselves. “The M⁰ team anticipates that the system will scale to several billions of dollars over the coming years, of which Chronicle will be a key component to the overall transparency of the protocol,” Chronicle founder Niklas Kunkel said.
  3. Compute Labs is Partnering with Plume for Powering RWA Tokenisation — Compute Labs, a leader in enterprise-grade GPUs, has announced a strategic partnership with Plume, a modular Layer 2 solution for tokenising RWAs. In this partnership, Compute Labs’ AI compute assets such as H100 and B200s will be integrated into the Plume ecosystem to enable users to invest directly into some of the most sought-after compute resources available today.
  4. RWA World Partnering with SegMint GmbH, a Wholly Owned Entity of VanEck Europe — RWA World, a project focusing on providing RWA intelligence, has announced a collaboration with SegMint Gmbh to bring transparency to tokenised collectibles. This collaboration will enable SegMint users to gain access to high-fidelity RWA analytics and research on the SegMint platform and make informed decisions in the collectibles market.
  5. Circle’s EURC Stablecoin Achieves Major Milestone Following MiCA Approval — Circle’s Euro-backed stablecoin EURC has hit €50 million market cap, making it the second-biggest euro-backed stablecoin. AEUR, the euro-backed stablecoin by Anchored Coins retains the position of the highest in the euro-stablecoin market cap, with over $60 million in market cap. However, EURC is at the top when it comes to MiCA-approved Euro-backed stablecoins.
