New Income Stream — NewsBreak Update — Did I Waste My Time?

Howdy folks!
It’s finally that time!

I have had a full month of monetization on Newsbreak. Here are the key things you need to know;

• You will need 100 followers from registered accounts and 10 articles to apply for monetization. At the time of this writing, I have just over 250 followers.
• NewsBreak contributor program is only for writers with US residency. I have heard of a few possible workarounds, though I am unsure of the validity of these tactics today.
  Please share with us all if you know more about this.
• “NewsBreak permits the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to create content provided the contributor discloses the use of such tools.”
  More on this below.
• NewsBreak does not allow Contributors to publish fictional content, this includes poems and song lyrics. Exceptions are made for editorial coverage of newsworthy excerpts.
• Aside from the previous points and blogs, most Medium stories can be recycled.
• “Local news” is the main focus for NewsBreak and these articles receive higher distribution. So they say. I have not seen this, detailed below.
