Why I Lost Motivation to Write on Medium
Why do I keep paying for it?
Thirteen cents, one referral, and a sad writer.
It all started downhill when I stopped writing consistently. I started living life and chasing dreams. I hoped YT content could help bridge the gap. But, I’m just not THAT interesting. I don’t have things to film, or proper equipment.
How people actually film themselves learning how to sail is beyond me.
Instead, I make silly shorts and wait for better weather. I write, but I don’t publish. Why bother?
I love writing. I used to wake up from the dead of sleep to write. I had to keep a journal next to my bed, so I could quickly jot and get back to sleep. I rarely have that sort of need anymore. But, I still crave. I simply no longer finish the story or don’t bother editing it. There’s no drive to do so.
Best of luck to all the other writers out there. I’m certain that is the only person who would read this. Don’t lose hope, it’s very difficult to find again.
