There are prompts to guide you with each decision, but the character you get to play is all you. In the demo currently on the Alexa platform, you get to play the first scene of our Codename Cygnus Mission 1 and decide what kind of secret agent you would be. You can go the James Bond route, or focus on more covert ops.

We like to describe our new medium as radio drama meets choose your own adventure story, so you guys are right on the money. Anybody remember the Animorphs series by K.A. Applegate? They released a bunch of “Alternamorphs” books where you flip from chapter to chapter and create your own story based on a decision with a page number at the end of each one. We do that, but bigger and shinier.

So who are Earplays for? Everybody!

If you have a kid or a friend that doesn’t like video games, ask them to give Earplay a try. There are no rules to learn or points to win, just the joy of engaging with a really good story, and making a real difference in how it ends. See if your loved ones try a different route than you did!
