Earth Genome is thrilled to announce that we have joined the Development Data Partnership, through which we will support the World Bank and other development partner projects. We will be making available Earth Index for teams to rapidly leverage machine learning and Earth observation data to inform analysis and decision making for a wide range of development challenges.

The Development Data Partnership has enabled dozens of the top technical entities in the world to easily collaborate and support international development organizations with data science. Teams submit proposals to data providers, who review requests and supply data when there’s a good fit to solve a problem. Collaboration between organizations large and small can tend to be complex, and the Partnership has enabled a lot of innovative data use by making that process so frictionless. Take a look at what they accomplished in 2023.

We just started sharing Earth Index with the World Bank and the Development Data Partnership, and are already seeing a lot of interest. New use cases make what we build better, and the results solve real problems today. We’re excited to see what challenges we can help solve!
