Mark Lakeman, one of the founders of The City Repair Project, teaches us about the principles of placemaking. I’ve been following The City Repair Project’s placemaking event called the Village Building Convergence for about 10 years now, and I continue to be impressed with the way that their projects bring neighbors together and create cooperative communities.

Mark’s elegant, low-key demeanor is humble, and yet he speaks with complete confidence, knowing that the methods he has refined over the years work wonders to connect neighbors and create neighborhood-focused villages.
