This week we look at wonderful mix of dancing and animation

This is a series of posts looking at killer combos’ and where you can find these various disciplines for your own project collaborations. This week we’re looking at dancing and animation.

I love this combo. Dance & animation can be hard to come by unless you’re diving into a Pixar Film. However, the gems that do get discovered usually blow us away with its intimacy and depth.

• Vimeo’s Animation Category: It has a ton of super talented animators. Find their profiles and in turn their websites for contact.
• Animation Mentor: A facebook group dedicated to helping animators with contacts and techniques.

Animators, find Dancers / Choregraphers:

• Meetup.com: There are a ton of meet ups for dancers where you can meet a bunch of people to collaborate with. Attend a few and make connections.
• Local dance classes / school: Students are willing to try new things as they are looking to grow their skills and gain experience. Often teachers will help out if it’s something their interested in.
