This is my personal list of talks that I’ve found really inspiring. It features a mixture of artists, designers, and all round awesome people. Grab a coffee and soak these knowledge bombs like a sponge.

Dustin Yellin

A talk about how he got started making awesome 3D glass collages. If you haven’t seen his work go see it NOOOOOW. The talk is inspirational in how from a young age his need to collect and form relationships with objects made him into what he does today.

JR

One of my most favourite talks. He’s a french artist and he lives and breaths making stuff.

This guy Austin has created a really popular book called Steal like an Artist

The talk basically outlines the same thing, but it’s worth a watch!

One of my favourite designers, Stefan Sagmeister

He’s done a ton of talks and they are all really inspiring. I’d take an hour or two to go through it if you’re a fan!

I’m not a finisher, so this guy helped. Robert Davis

He is an artist specialising in cinematic paintings using a combination of collage and brushwork. If you find it hard to complete a project, watch this.

For a chuckle watch this: Mr Bingo — Hate Mail

Mr Bingo is an illustrator based in London famously known for his hilariously abusive work. This talk is about how he got started in the business of Hate Mail and it’s damn funny.

If anyone has any other suggestions of great talks that help propel artist / creators forward pop them in the responses!
