EASTWICK EXPANDS CLIENT ROSTER WITH THE ADDITION OF TEN NEW CLIENTS

From global enterprises to disruptive high growth companies, Eastwick started out 2016 strong with 10 new clients. Tech companies across all industries are choosing Eastwick because of its digital brand work through the Digital Brand Lab (DBL), communications strategy knowledge, media and influencer relationships and depth of industry experience. The addition of new clients comes as Eastwick kicks off its 25th anniversary celebration. Read more in the press release here.

THE EASTWICK JOURNEY

Eastwick’s 25th anniversary has us reflecting on our history. We are proud to call ourselves a technology-focused communications agency. We are geeky and breathe tech every day — we have done so for the last 25 years. Big brands, small brands, old, new. This has been our journey. And we aren’t done yet…

ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT: ELISE LIPKOWITZ

Tell us about how you came to be an Eastwicker.

I met Barb at a career fair at my university several months before my graduation. At that time, I knew nothing about public relations, beyond that PR professionals work with industry and the media. I gave Barb a pitch that I had worked on my college newspaper, and was interested in learning more about industry. Soon thereafter, I was invited to an interview at Eastwick’s Redwood City office. At the time, Eastwick was building up a “strategic services” group, and I was one of the early hires.

EASTWICK’S TOP 25 CLIENT MOMENTS

In our latest round of client highlights, we continue where we left off in the mid-90’s and see how Eastwick took a client public, negotiated its first publishing deal and rocked Silicon Valley business media for the company that would later become MSN TV.

Client Highlights

The last two months have been a whirlwind of activity for Eastwick and Kokam, a Korean company whose advanced battery solutions are used for military, aerospace, marine, Electric Vehicle (EV), energy storage and industrial applications by customers around the world. Kokam partnered with Eastwick to strengthen its position as a leader in developing innovative new battery technologies and also to help it expand its sales in the United States, Australia and Europe. Leveraging its deep cleantech and vertical-industry communications expertise, Eastwick launched an aggressive media campaign highlighting Kokam’s development of the world’s largest lithium NMC Energy Storage System (ESS) for frequency regulation and its new Ultra High Energy NMC battery solutions for UAVs and other unmanned systems. The campaign generated over 70 articles in media outlets such as BusinessGreen, CleanTechnica, POWER Magazine, Renewable Energy World, Seeking Alpha, MarketWatch, Unmanned Systems Technology and Shephard Media. With the media relations campaign having had a significant positive impact on Kokam’s business development efforts, Eastwick and Kokam look forward to building on this success, and creating even greater awareness of Kokam’s technology leadership in the rapidly growing battery solutions market.

In the midst of a challenging funding environment, ThoughtSpot secured a $50M Series C last week. The funding comes on the heels of the business intelligence industry’s most disruptive Gartner Magic Quadrant report in years, positioning the future of the industry to be driven by business leaders rather than IT armed with easy, accessible analytics tools. ThoughtSpot’s core value propositions are now analyst, funder and customer validated. In the run-up to the funding announcement, Eastwick secured an interview with Forbes’ Chief Insights Officer, Bruce Rogers, and CEO Ajeet Singh , to talk about the company background and future vision. Clearly setting the stage for a break away moment for ThoughtSpot, the profile served as an inside look into the company leadership ahead of the onslaught of financial press.

April was a huge month on the media front for Proofpoint, a next-generation cybersecurity company that provides comprehensive threat protection across email, social and mobile. Eastwick directed two New York City media tours for top executives, conducted rapid response outreach to feature Proofpoint expertise in breaking news stories-and proactively pitched its ground-breaking Threat Operations Center discoveries to further showcase security leadership. The results? In one month Eastwick secured more than 80 pieces of coverage across national broadcast, print and online media including top tier business, trade and technology press. Eastwick also established stronger relationships with key reporters for ongoing opportunities. Highlights included a TV interview with CEO Gary Steele on Jim Cramer’s Mad Money, Reuters, CBS News, CNNMoney (syndicated on broadcast and online), Fortune, Forbes, SC Magazine and two syndicated features across IDG’s network. Watch out for us in security news this month!
