Dat crust doe

This is the type of bread you feel good about because it’s minimal effort for maximum pleasure (insert dirty joke here AYOOOO).

I can’t take credit for this recipe — but this is an awesomely simple bread recipe that is too delicious not to share!

This recipe is from Jim Lahey, owner of Sullivan Street Bakery in NYC.

Why is this recipe so fantastic?

1. No need to knead!
2. There are only 3 ingredients.
3. It’s delicious — look at that fine ass crust. Yas.

The only thing this recipe requires is patience. It takes time for the yeast to do its work (at least 12 hours). I usually like to start the dough in the evening and just let it sit throughout the night and all day while I’m at work — then I bake it for dinner the next night.

I adjusted a few things from the original recipe. But here is the link to the original recipe if you want to add the additional step of dusting with bran or cornmeal. There is also a video!

Recipe as follows:

Until next time,

The Sue Chef
