Pollution Punch Out Smoothie


This antixodant packed smoothie is a whiz to blend up and a dream to drink down. All ingredients go into the blender in no particular order, blend on high for 30 seconds or until creamy. Hazelnut milk and coconut water can be substituted with plain water if less calories are desired. Hazelnut milk is made the same way as almond milk, soak 1 cup of nuts overnight and blend with 2 cups of water and strain through a nut milk bag.

Yields 2 big glasses.

Equipment: Blender

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of homemade hazelnut milk — this makes it richer, creamier and more filling
  • 1 cup of water or mix of coconut water
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds, soaked for 10 minutes
  • 1 tablespoon of Pomegranate Powder — optional but so worth it. (Navitas is a great brand — pictured above)
  • 1 tablespoon of Acai Powder
  • 1 banana

Add ice cubes if you like it chilled.
