How are Easygo attacking working from home?

Seemingly (or should we say hopefully) nearing closer to returning back to our Melbourne office, we thought it would be time to reflect on nearly six weeks apart from each other.

With nearly six weeks already from home, the Easygo team are bracing themselves for a few busy weeks ahead. With many projects in the pipeline as well as recruitment turning itself up a notch, the team is going from strength to strength. But how are we maintaining productivity at work?

Damn.

Discord

Discord is an application that specialises in audio and video communication, and is something we have used on a daily basis while being at home. Rather than Zoom, where you need to arrange calls through links and schedules, Discord allows for constant communication through the click of a button.

All employees are always muted in departmental chat rooms, where once unmuted, can speak and be heard by the rest of the team. It is not like you are in a constant call, but you can be alerted or communicated with extremely efficiently.

The team has taken the use of this application in its stride, despite some early knockback. With our department rooms, and our ‘Social Distancing Rooms’ on the app, the team is in constant communication, whether that be for a bit of banter or for some professional consultation.

One on Ones

Coincidentally, April meant it was time for a 6-monthly review meeting across the board. It probably came at a good time considering the circumstances, with the obvious need for a bit of a ‘vent’ and a video call (especially when you haven’t seen anybody’s face for so long).

Discussed in meetings were reviews of the time past, looking ahead to the months to come, and a general chat about how we are all feeling during these unprecedented times.

Normally, team leaders like to take their employees out for lunch or for a beer. This time, a cup of coffee over video chat did the trick, with these one on one meetings probably more important than ever.

Friendly Fun

You’d go insane if these weeks went past and everything was completely serious all the time, right?

The team swapped their regular working from home attire for some outfits that were… interesting.

Record Month for Stake

We see ourselves extremely grateful for the industry we are in, with one of our clients; Stake, seeing results in the past 6–8 weeks that are setting company records.

Celebrating 20 billion bets on the casino platform as well as 1 million on the sports platform are two achievements to note. But some marketing KPIs saw March see some all time records hit on the site — extraordinary.
