Sports Betting Product Launch

When a company is specialised in a niche, making a decision to expand into a different market can be daunting. But accepting new challenges is a key cog in the core of this company, so when one of our clients approached us to develop a sportsbook for them from scratch, we couldn’t say no.

The casino and sportsbook platforms differ in many ways. Whilst both are in the realm of gambling, but from a technical and operational perspective, they are very different.

The first steps in the conception of this platform were accompanied by efforts in our Human Resource department. In the last 12 months, our team increased from 10 employees to 22. A major part of this was our sportsbook.

From a development perspective, the need to synchronise our platform for both odds and the acceptance of bets was not only necessary but a huge challenge for our Backend team; something they’d never faced before.

If you’re not familiar with sportsbooks, you also may not realise how many different pages it can have. It is not like a casino with a certain number of games. But instead, every sport, with every tournament and a superb amount of markets. Our UX/UI team has been hard at work, and our Content Managers have been up against it!

After all our hard work, the product was ready to be launched by the end of November. From the feedback we have received after the first few weeks, it is exceeding expectations.

Our clients and their respective customers seem to enjoy the quality and dedication of our team — an excellent result to get at the end of the year.

But this challenge doesn’t end here. Sports betting requires live products, new features, markets, different views and a nature that involves keeping a keen eye on the industry.
