Time well spent brings us content.
For me what does it the most,
Is the classic Sunday roast.
Beef, Chicken, even Nut I will promote.
Fluffy potatoes and crispy parsnips,
That make your heart skip.

Everyone’s tips for getting the flavourful vegetables,
Or the juiciest gravy to make it unforgettable.
A few cheeky pigs in blankets dotted on your plate.
Topped with a soft but sturdy Yorkshire Pudding to make it great.

Gathering round the table with your loved ones.
Family or friends, the conversation hums.
Connections grow over a meal, your happiness restores.
Roasts, it’s what Sunday’s were made for.
