Xu Ji Pan-fried Buns (許記生煎包) is a small shop nested inside the Shida Night Market area next to National Taiwan Normal University. One person chops up the dough, one person stuffs them with pork and rolls into balls, and one person frys ’em up. Rinse and repeat.

The pork is melt-in-your-mouth fantastic. There’s a little bit more oil on these than I’m used to, but given this isn’t the healthiest item to begin with, I welcome the added flavor.

Coming in servings of 5 for $35 NT and 12 for $80 NT, these things are seriously dangerous. I went with 5 knowing 12 would likely be devoured in the same amount of time.
