Guasaca is one of the more affordable places in Durham. And the spectrum of flavor their specialty arepas hold is unmatched by most other places with similar cuisine.

I ordered the tilapia and the vegetarian arepas and found them delicious! The combinations of flavors were mouthwatering — from the spicy fish to the tangy salsa.. it made for an amazing culinary experience.

The last time I had Guasaca, I ordered it for the house as House Council President. At about $9 per person, it’s one of the cheaper places you can order catering from. They allow you to do a whole build-your-own-arepa type thing, buffet style, so that you can add whatever you want to your arepa.

I believe arepas are made of corn flour or something; they beat out most tortillas any day imo.

If you’re looking for fresh food and savory meat, then you might wanna consider checking it out!
