Tonbo Ramen

Located in downtown Raleigh, this small ramen restaurant/izakaya is a pleasant place to go for lunch on the weekend.

I ordered the Tonkotsu ramen, which was alright. Not half as flavorful as the ramen at M Kokko and maybe 2/3 of the flavor of ramen at Rose’s.

The food was decent. Not particularly memorable.

One of their items for dessert caught my eye, though — some kind of green tea mochi dessert. If I go back, I’ll probs try it out.

I’d give this place a 7.5/10. The view of the street from upstairs wasn’t half bad though!
