Tara Clelland, a feisty educational assistant in Edmonton, Canada, conquered her fear of food and lost almost 100 pounds with EatLove.
Tara struggles with an eating disorder. She got into weightlifting to help take control of her health, but it didn’t address her underlying relationship with food. “You can teach anyone to lift, but if they don’t fuel their body properly, then what’s the point?” When her weight peaked at over 500 pounds, she knew it was time to change. “I need to lose some weight before I get back into the gym because I could injure myself.”
How She Did It
Although Tara took a break from the gym, her trainer introduced her to EatLove. Tara taught herself how to navigate the platform and now plans healthy meals for herself and her husband. “I trust the recipes. They are backed by dietitians, which makes me feel safe.” She also relies on the nutrient breakdown to teach her about eating properly. “Instead of turning my food into an obsession, I’m turning it into knowledge.” Since starting her journey with EatLove, Tara has lost almost 100 pounds and is working toward her goal weight of 250 pounds. 🙌 “The app has changed my thinking on everything. It’s given me the confidence to cook better. And it has helped me get over my fear of food” Looking back on her journey, Tara said, “I would have been more successful if I had EatLove from the start.”
When you start using EatLove, just play around with the platform and have fun with it. Start a meal at a time, a day at a time, then a week at a time.
