I usually am put off by fast food, whether it is from good restaurants or even worse from food stalls! It may go back to my childhood days when eating burgers or hot dogs away from home was banned! We would never have dared to ask our parents for a burger during some street festival or village feast — junk food was definitely not allowed! Me & my brother were brought up in this home-made, genuine food reality. The result of this positive/negative influence manifests itself presently in our constant urge to create of home-made food. This influence was transferred to my better half who has recently discovered his culinary values. Here’s his recipe for home-made burgers!

Recipe for 6/7 burgers:

  • 500g freshly minced beef
  • 12 unsalted crackers
  • a bunch of finely chopped parsley
  • 2 tsp mustard
  • 1 egg
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • olive oil
